The Polish Automotive Group participated in the Belgrade Motor Show on March 22-28, 2023. This fair is the largest and most important automotive event in this part of Europe. 6 companies from our organization took part in the event, and 5 of them used the joint PGM stand built especially for this purpose. The event was held with the support of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship.

PGM members who took part in the event:

  • DEXWAL – manufacturer of timing rollers,
  • Kufieta – manufacturer of various accessories (antennas, blood pressure monitors, jumper cables, scrapers, brooms, etc.),
  • Rotinger – manufacturer of brake discs and drums,
  • Fischer Automotive – manufacturer of, among others, mounting elements for exhaust systems, turbochargers and engines
  • PZL Sędziszów – manufacturer of air, oil, fuel, cabin and hydraulic filters and air dehumidifiers, as well as lithium-ion batteries and photovoltaic panels.
  • Art-Motor – distributor of parts for passenger cars and delivery vans and manufacturer of spare parts and metal products

In addition to meetings with foreign entrepreneurs, many accompanying events took place at the stand. We were visited by the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Serbia, Rafał Perl. Each participant had the opportunity to present their company and expansion plans in the Balkans to the Ambassador. We also talked about the activities of our cluster.

Mr. Ambassador introduced us to the specificity of this market and the economic conditions of the region and presented the outline of the #OpenBalkans project, which is soon expected to ease trade barriers and facilitate the flow of workers between Serbia, Albania and North Macedonia.

At the stand, a meeting with the representative of the Foreign Trade Office of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, Darko Gajić. Mr. Gajić talked about the conditions of doing business in Serbia and the Balkans, as well as the areas in which ZBH PAiH can help our entrepreneurs. We believe that this will result in fruitful trade contacts between Polish and Serbian companies.

The stand was visited by representatives of the Serbian Automotive Cluster (Automobilski Klaster Srbije). They helped organize a meeting with the Serbian Association of Car and Parts Importers (Srpska Asocijacija uvoznika vozila i delova). The relationships established with these organizations will allow for increased cooperation between PGM companies and Serbian entrepreneurs. The meetings perfectly matched the goals of the #EVOLUTE #ClusterXchange project implemented by the Serbian cluster, which supports cooperation between SMEs and clusters.

Our representatives also met with the Serbian Development Agency (Razvojna apartamentja Srbije) and the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (Privredna komora Srbije). We talked about investment opportunities in this country and what it has to offer to Polish companies in the automotive industry.

This is a particularly interesting topic for suppliers from the automotive industry from Poland nowadays, when employment costs are rising so dynamically and employees are becoming more and more difficult to find. We collected information, received valuable materials and, most importantly, made valuable contacts!

Our members and invited guests took part in an integration dinner in one of the best Belgrade restaurants on the famous ul. Skadarska, where they could taste traditional Serbian dishes and alcohol to the sounds of Balkan music. The evening was made more pleasant by Balkan hits, especially the performance of songs by Goran Bregović, an artist very well known in Poland.

Our participation in the fair was supported by the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. Companies could count on funding offered by the voivodeship. The stand included the Voivodeship’s logos, promotional materials were distributed and a film promoting the Voivodeship was shown.

We would like to thank everyone for their participation and invite you to participate in the next events organized by PGM.
