The Military Institute of Armored and Automotive Technology is a research institute subordinate to the Ministry of National Defense, dealing with works in the field of national defense and security. The Institute plays a role in the process of securing the development of armaments and military equipment, as well as in the processes of its widely understood operation.
The organizational structure of WITPiS includes, among others Vehicle Testing Laboratory, Tracked Vehicles Testing Laboratory, Materials Engineering Laboratory and Product Certification Body.
