Development of the Polish Automotive Group with the Support of European Funds

The Polish Automotive Group is continuously expanding its range of services for cluster members and external partners. With the support of European Funds, we are implementing a project aimed at further strengthening PGM’s potential in research and development, internationalisation, and skills enhancement within the automotive sector.

This initiative will enable us not only to establish a modern research infrastructure but also to launch new development programmes and reinforce collaboration between business and science. It marks an important step towards increasing the innovation and competitiveness of Polish automotive companies — both domestically and internationally.

Project Objectives:
The objective of the project is to develop the offer of the Polish Automotive Group (PGM) by strengthening the cluster coordinator’s capacity in the areas of R&D activities, internationalisation, and staff competence development, as well as to enhance the competitiveness of cluster members in domestic and international markets.

Scope of the project includes:

  1. Establishment of the cluster’s research infrastructure through the purchase of specialised equipment:
    • flammability testing chamber,
    • salt spray chamber,
    • 3D control and measurement equipment,
  2. Launch of the PGM HR Accelerator Academy training programme to support innovation and the development of competencies in the automotive sector,
  3. Internationalisation of the cluster’s offer – participation in trade fairs and business missions,
  4. Obtaining the European Cluster Excellence Initiative (ECEI) certificate for cluster management quality improvement.

Target groups:

  • Members of the Polish Automotive Group – enterprises from the automotive sector (micro, small, and medium-sized companies),
  • Research institutions and universities cooperating with the cluster,
  • New partners and domestic or foreign enterprises interested in collaboration with PGM.

Expected results:

  • Launch of three new R&D services,
  • Increased international recognition of the cluster,
  • Strengthened cooperation between business and science,
  • Obtaining the European Cluster Excellence certificate.
