Competition law compliance is an important tool to protect economic freedom. With this in mind, together with the AXELO Law Firm – Law and Taxes for Business, we keep on organizing regular courses on “Policy of compliance with competition law” for employees of companies associated in the Polish Automotive Group.

The main objective of competition law is to protect the interests of entrepreneurs and consumers, including protection of competition against negative actions of market participants, which may disturb the development of free competition and limit the possibility of free operation on a free market.

Competition law prohibits business practices with the object or effect of eliminating, restricting or distorting competition.

Potential violations of competition law may also result in legal sanctions.

For the conscious or inadvertent conclusion of an agreement restricting competition, the President of UOKiK may impose a fine of up to 10% of the entrepreneur’s revenue in the year preceding the issuance of the decision.
